Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME] ("Joey AI", "we", "us") for your use of the Joey AI website and application. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.
1. The service, and what it is not
Joey AI is an informational tool for dog owners. It is not a veterinary service and does not provide veterinary medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Using it creates no veterinarian–client–patient relationship.
The Veterinary disclaimer forms part of these terms. Please read it — it sets out limits that matter for your dog's safety.
2. Eligibility and your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give accurate information when you register, and keep it current.
- You are responsible for your credentials and for everything done through your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
- One account per person. Do not share logins.
3. Plans and billing
Free plan
The Free plan is available indefinitely at no cost and requires no payment card. It currently includes 1 pet profile, 1 AI vet chat per day, 2 image scans per week, Daily Wag tracking, and vaccination reminders.
Premium
Premium is ₹199 per month or ₹1,799 per year, in Indian Rupees and inclusive of applicable taxes. It begins with a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and your chosen payment method is charged.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase takes effect, and you may cancel before it applies.
One-off reports
Individual PDF reports may be purchased without a subscription, at the price shown at the time of purchase. Because a report is generated and delivered immediately, it is non-refundable once produced.
Cancelling
Cancel at any time from Settings → Subscription. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have already paid for, then return to the Free plan. Your records are not deleted — Free plan limits simply apply again.
Refunds
If Premium is not working for you, contact support@joey.ai within 7 days of a charge and we will refund it in full. Refunds reach your original payment method within 5–10 business days. This is in addition to any rights you have under consumer law.
4. Usage limits and fair use
Plan limits — chats per day, scans per week, pet profiles — are published on our pricing page and enforced in the app. We may adjust them with reasonable notice.
We may apply rate limits or suspend accounts that place a disproportionate load on the service, whether through automation or otherwise.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Joey AI for any species other than dogs, or in place of professional veterinary care;
- Present Joey AI output as veterinary advice, a diagnosis, or a prescription to anyone else;
- Upload content that is unlawful, that infringes someone's rights, or that depicts animal cruelty;
- Upload another person's personal or medical information;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or extract the underlying models or prompts;
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the service to third parties as your own;
- Circumvent usage limits, authentication, or any security control;
- Interfere with the service's operation or its infrastructure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section. Where the breach is serious, we may do so without prior notice.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload — photographs, records, and messages. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the service for you, including sending it to our AI provider to generate the responses you have asked for.
That licence ends when you delete the content or your account, subject to the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.
You confirm you have the right to upload what you upload.
7. Our content
The Joey AI name, logo, software, design, and prompts are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service. Nothing more is transferred.
You may use the responses Joey generates for your own dog's care, including sharing them with your veterinarian.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Joey AI available continuously but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, updates, third-party outages, and events beyond our control can all interrupt it.
Never rely on Joey AI being available in an emergency. Keep your vet's number and your nearest emergency hospital's number somewhere you can reach without this app.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.
We do not warrant that Joey AI's output is accurate, complete, or suitable for your dog's situation. AI systems can be wrong, including confidently wrong.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) ₹5,000.
Nothing here excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer protection law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify us against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the service, or content you upload.
12. Termination
You may close your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we will give reasonable notice and refund any unused prepaid period.
Sections 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [CITY], [STATE] have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law entitles you to bring proceedings elsewhere.
Please write to us first — most disputes are resolved faster by email than by litigation.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Joey AI after that date means you accept the updated terms; if you do not, you may cancel and we will refund any unused prepaid period.
